Accounting Clerk - Accounts Receivable Administration & Finance Department: Responsibilities include computerized general ledger, budgeting, and accounting for project based programs; financial analysis; receiving and accurately recording general and tenant receivables; audits and codes utility bills for payment and problem resolution. Must be able to work independently and coordinate large projects over time. Requires strong communication skills, detail-oriented individual with initiative and ability to complete complex assignments. Requires graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in accounting and considerable experience in fund accounting or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must be proficient with a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license. Computer Programmer--Analyst Administration Dept.: Responsible for developing, maintaining, planning, organizing, directing and controlling all systems and computer resources in order to provide data processing and related services for all departments consistent with policies and procedures. Must be able to: analyze problems, generate solutions, design/write/test programs, implement/deliver end user training, understand complex business problems and create practical technical solutions, think creatively, communicate effectively, provide direction to others at various levels, and meet aggressive deadlines. Requires a working knowledge of VisualBasic, MS Access, SQL, Red Hat Linux, Windows 2008/2003 servers, and Windows XP and 7 systems. Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Drug testing, criminal background check and DMV check required. MS Word and Excel skills required. Education in computer technology and three years experience in programming and software/hardware support preferred; or an equivalent combination. Office Assistant V Housing Mgmt Dept.: Perform a variety of support tasks in the department: compiling monthly reports, coordinating daily information on vacancies, processing resident complaints, handling special assignments for the Director and performing a variety of clerical and secretarial tasks. Must possess a safe driving record and possess and maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Drug testing, criminal background check and DMV check required. Graduation from a business school or two year college with a major in business, secretarial science, or related field and three to five years of administrative support work experience (preferably in a property management office); or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Proficiency with a variety of computer applications including MS Word and Excel skills required. Expected Hiring Range: $28,117 - $30,999 Closing Date: 02/17/12
Maintenance Mechanic II (Work Orders) Maintenance Dept.: Perform semi-skilled and skilled work in troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing residential units. Requires the application of journeyman level skills in several trades, particularly of the mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, cleaning, and electrical variety. Employee is expected to apply independent judgment and skills in determining and affecting the necessary repairs and adjustments. May involve the supervision of semi-skilled and unskilled employees engaged in each assignment. Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Drug testing, criminal background check and DMV check required. Graduation from high school or it’s equivalency and three years in the maintenance field; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
