Glenwood Towers Roof Replacement


Pursuant to General Statues of North Carolina, 143-128 et. Seq., sealed bids are invited and will be received by the Housing Authority of the City of Raleigh in the Authority’s 2ndfloor conference room located at 900 Haynes Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27604 until 10:00 a.m. April 18, 2019at which time the sealed bids will be opened and publicly read. The bids shall provide the cost for furnishing all necessary equipment, materials, labor, related services, permit fees and complying with all related Federal (EPA, OSHA, and HUD), State and Local regulations for the following:

Base Bid (Lump Sum)

Work involves removal and replacement of existing EPDM system of Glenwood Towers 14thfloor roof, approximately 9,000 square feet and two 10thfloor roofs, approximately 4752 square feet on South Tower and 4781 square feet on West Tower.


Beginning on March 18, 2019 copies of the documents may be obtained from The Raleigh Housing Authority’s office complex located at 900 Haynes Street Raleigh, NC 27604. Any questions regarding the project should be directed to the Raleigh Housing Authority’s Development Department by calling 919-831-8300.


No bids will be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, or certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC and authorized to do business in North Carolina in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount. As an alternate, a 5% bid bond issued by a corporate surety licensed by the State of North Carolina may be filed with the bid. The Raleigh Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. A pre-bid conference will be conducted on April 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the project site located at 509 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27603.


The bidder must include completed minority or women-owned subcontract documentation (form(s) regardless of the bid amount or the bids may be considered non-responsive and invalid.
