REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT: The Raleigh Housing Authority (RHA) will be revising the Public Housing Utility Allowances with an anticipated implementation date of January 1st, 2022. Utility allowances are used as part of the calculation to determine a resident’s monthly rent amount. In accordance with the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements, Housing Authorities shall review utility rates at least annually to evaluate if a revision to established utility allowances is needed based upon current utility companies rates. Rate changes did exceed the 10% threshold this year. For that reason, resident utility allowances are scheduled to change accordingly. In addition to this post, a copy of the Utility Allowance changes are available for resident review at the following locations:

- RHA Administrative Building at 900 Haynes Street Raleigh, NC 27604
This public comment period will end at 4:00pm on October 25, 2021. Written comments may be submitted to Raleigh Housing Authority, Attn: Sonia Anderson at 900 Haynes Street, Raleigh, NC 27604.
