We take the responsibility of protecting your personal information very seriously. We treat your personal information as we would and do treat our own.

The Site is operated by The Housing Authority of the City of Raleigh (“Raleigh Housing Authority,” “RHA” or the “Company”). This page sets forth the Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) for the websites at www.rhaonline.com or any other sites owned and operated by RHA that redirect to www.rhaonline.com, and all subdomains (collectively, the “Site”), and the service owned and operated by the Company (together with the Site, the “Service”). By using the Service in any manner, including, but not limited to, visiting or browsing the Site or contributing content, information, or other materials to the Site, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

We use your personal information only for providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace this Policy by posting the updated version on the Site. It is your responsibility to check this Policy periodically for changes. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

Collection of Information

Although you may visit our Site without providing any personal information, in order to take full advantage of some of our Site’s features, you may be asked to provide personal information, and it may include the following:

  • Information, such as your name, email and postal address, telephone number, and country of residence that you provide by completing forms on the Site;
  • your log-in and password details in connection with any account that you may create when using the Site;

We may share information which is already listed publicly on our Sites, such as generator locations and fundraising campaign information. We do not rent, sell or trade any personally identifiable information of our subscribers.

Email

We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. We try to keep emails to a minimum and give you the ability to opt out or unsubscribe from our email list. We will send you email relating to your personal transactions. We will keep these emails to a minimum. You will also receive certain email notifications, for which you may opt-out.  We may send you service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so.

Third-Party Services

We never post anything to your accounts with Facebook, Twitter, or any other third-party sites without your permission.  We will not give your name or personal information to third parties, other than our third-party service providers that we engage for providing the Services and which are obligated to treat your personal information in a manner consistent with this Policy.

Technology

RHA uses cookies to help recognize you as a repeat visitor, to improve the quality of our Service, and to try and make your browsing experience meaningful. People under 18 (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) are not permitted to use RHA on their own, and so this privacy policy makes no provision for their use of the site. The Site is intended for use only by those who can access it from within the United States. If you choose to access the Site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and you are solely responsible for complying with applicable local laws.

Cancellation

You can cancel any time by texting “STOP”. After you send the SMS message “STOP”, we will send you a message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed and no more messages will be sent. If you would like to receive messages from Raleigh Housing Authority again, just sign up as you did the first time and Raleigh Housing Authority will start sending messages to you again.

Transfer of Number

You agree that before changing your mobile number or transferring your mobile number to another individual, you will either reply “STOP” from the original number or notify us of your old number at news@rhaonline.com.
